Gustav Alvarez is an electronic musician and entrepreneur dedicated to transforming ideas into impactful experiences. His work spans music, audio, community building, and interactive media — yet sound remains the through-line connecting everything he does.

Entrepreneur & Community Builder

After completing his Bachelor's degree in Electronic Music and Sound Art, Gustav founded KANTEN in 2022 — an NGO housing a music venue and recording studio — at just 23 years old. As chairman of the board until 2025, he raised approximately 1.5 million DKK in funding, grew the organisation to two full-time employees, programmed around 45 concerts and musical experiences annually, and cultivated a regular community of 20 studio users.

Artist — ALVA ALVA

Under the alias ALVA ALVA, Gustav DJs, produces dance music, and co-runs the label and DJ collective MANA CLUB alongside artists ELCA and Arsom. In 2022, his collaboration with Hedo Hydr8 on the Baile-influenced track BBBBBB gained widespread traction, appearing in DJ mixes around the globe. His debut release Imperial Burnout on Club Potions Vol. 1 (Low Income $quad, HR) drew recognition from artists including Miss Jay, Oblinof, and St.grimes.

Game Audio & Master's Research

In 2025, Gustav returned to the Danish National Academy of Music to pursue a Master's degree, with a focus on game audio. Through DADIU — the National Academy of Digital, Interactive Entertainment — he contributed as composer and sound designer on two student game productions. His master's project takes this further: he is now independently developing a video game with music at its core.
